Minibus

Fundraising for two minibuses

Since their introduction back in 2021, our minibuses have provided vital transport for children and young people. Traveling approximately 240 miles a month with 1,375 children enjoying various trips and enabling access to educational visits including Ufton Court, the University of Reading, Stonehenge, and the Living Rainforest in Newbury. We also have extracurricular activities at The Anvil Theatre Basingstoke, Reading Leisure Centre, and enriching experiences that may have otherwise been out of reach. From outdoor learning adventures in Swinley Forest to sporting events at local schools and Palmer Horse Riding Stables, the minibuses continue to make a meaningful difference in the children’s daily lives. With the support and partnership of the John Sykes Foundation, who donated £15,000 to bring this vision to fruition, we leased the vehicles for five years. Now we need to fundraise for the next 5 years! The WEC schools have already been doing their bit to help us raise these much needed funds. Watch this space to see how we do!
