Family day trips in 2018

Aspire2 & WEC are pleased to be able to offer more day trips in 2018 for South Reading families. The days will be taking place at weekends during term time and in the school holidays. Look out for the flyers and calendar of events to be circulated in schools. For more information please contact Sarah King. In exceptional circumstances, funding may be available through Aspire2 to fund trips.

This is a great opportunity for our community to have days out as a family with transport provided. One of the families, who attend all three of the day trips said: “…this was the best day ever and [we] did not want it to end” after spending the day in Legoland.

Over the year our trip programme includes:

• Tickets to shows and the pantomime at the Hexagon.
• Day and residential trips for children to Ufton Court.
• Family day trip to Ufton Court where families experience team building activities and spending quality time together in the outdoors.
• Family day trips including visits to the seaside, a theme park – such as Legoland, Marwell zoo, Coral Reef and The Lookout.

Trip programme for 2018:

• Thursday 26 July – a day trip to the seaside – Bournemouth. Coach tickets are £12.00 each.
• Saturday 29 September – a day trip to LEGOLAND. Poster and booking forms will be in the schools shortly.
• October half term – water based activities at Dinton Pastures
• December – Aladdin – Pantomime at The Hexagon.
